Snuffle mats are a great tool for dogs and cats to use to help hone their sniffing and searching skills. By placing a treat under one of the pieces of fleece, your pet will have to “hunt” for the reward.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Gather your materials. The mat pictured is a dish mat from our local dollar store, but you can also use anti-fatigue mats available at most hardware or office supply stores if you want to make a larger one<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Cut the fleece into 1 inch by 8 inch strips<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Thread the strip through one of the holes so that the ends are of equal length<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Tie the strip using an overhand knot<\/a><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
